What is RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test?


Physical Efficiency Test is the second level of scrutiny for the candidates who are appearing for the RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 -19. The Railway Group D Physical Test will involve the candidates to compete against each other in tests like High Jumps, Running etc. The candidates would perform and the criteria to compete is already set. The candidates must check the required criteria given in the official notification. If the candidate successfully performs the tasks. They will be qualified for Document Verification force.

What are the Criteria for RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test?

The Railway Recruitment Board has already announced on the RRB Group D Recruitment Notification about the criteria and the tests that the candidates must pass through in order to qualify the second level of Scrutiny for RRB Group D exams. The Males and Females candidates will be judged separately. Based on the merit of the CBT Exam, two times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs; Candidates will be selected for the PET Examination. It is mandatory that the candidates clear the Railway Group D PET Examination. Also, to be noted that RRB Group D Physical Efficiency test is qualifying in nature. The Following table mentions the details of RRB Group D PET Examination 2018 -19.

Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down


Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down


Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.


Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.



Note: Person with Disability (PWD) Candidate are exempted from appearing in the Physical Efficiency Test. However, The PwD Candidate must clear the Physical Medical Examination to clear for the Second level of Scrutiny for RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 -19.

Medical Standards for the RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 -19

Once the candidates clear the RRB Group D Physical Efficiency test 2018 -19, they will be called in for the Medical Standard Test and Document Verification. Each Candidate is required to fulfill the Medical Standard norm that Railway Recruitment Board has set in its official notification, CEN02/2018. The posts available as Assistant Loco Pilot and Technicians, have been mentioned with all the necessary details on the official Notification. The Official Notice defines which post of Group C Recruitment required which level of Medical Standard Clearance. Following are the Medical Standards that the candidates must fulfill.

Distant Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.



Note:
  • The above medical standards are indicative and not exhaustive and apply to candidates in general. The candidates are advised to read Chapter 5 of Indian Railway Medical Manual Vol. I which can be accessed at www.indianrailways.gov.in.
  • Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any other surgical procedure to correct the refractory error are not eligible for the post having Medical Standards A2, B1, and B2.
  • Different Medical standards shall apply to Ex-Servicemen as detailed in Para 534 of Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM) Volume I, which may be accessed at www.indianrailways.gov.in.
  • Candidates are advised to ensure that they are eligible as per the medical standards for the posts opted by them.
  • Those who are opting for A2 medical standard posts may note that these posts have stringent medical standard and hence they are specifically advised to ensure that their fitness both in terms of vision as well as physical standards is as per the prescribed requirements in the medical manual indicated above.
  • Selected PWD candidates will be subjected to medical examination by Railway Medical Authorities at the time of appointment and only those conforming to the medical standards as laid down in the Indian Railway Medical Manual and other extant provisions, as the case may be, will be eligible for appointment.

RRB Group D PET Admit Card 2018 -19]

For all the candidates, who will successfully clear the RRB Group D CBT Examination, Railway Recruitment Board will release the RRB Group D Physical Test Admit Card 2018 -19. The candidates will appear in the examination along with the other documents and Railway Group D PET Admit Card 2018 – 19. Similar to the RRB Group D CBT Admit Card, candidates can download their hall ticket for PET from the official website of Regional RRBs.

RRB Group D PET Result 2018 -19

The candidates appearing in the RRB Group D PET Exam 2018 -19 will receive their RRB Group D PET Result 2019 on the spot. They will be clarified if they have cleared the test or not. Since the RRB Group D Physical Test is of qualifying nature only. The candidates who successfully qualify will advance to Document Verification. There will be no merit list or announcement at this stage.

RRB Group D Document Verification 2019

The final stage of Scrutiny will involve the Document Verification of all the selected candidates from RRB Group D PET 2018 -19. The candidates will submit the required documents, which will then be analyzed by RRB Examination Authority. Once done, a final merit list will release mentioning the names/ Roll Numbers of the candidates who are selected through this recruitment.

RRB Group D Final Merit List 2019

A Final Merit List will release after the completion of Recruitment. All the selected candidates will find their roll numbers and names on the RRB Group D Final Allotment List. The List will be available on the official website of Railway Recruitment Board, and the regional RRBs’ official website too. The candidates will be updated for all the release dates and download links for the important documents.
